Is Sentence Checker free?
Yes. Grammar, spelling and punctuation checks are free and need no account: up to 1,000 characters at a time, 20 checks a day. Premium adds rewriting in eight styles, translation into 39 languages, longer texts and unlimited checks.
How do I check text?
Select text on a page, right-click and choose "Check with Sentence Checker", or press Alt+G (Option+G on a Mac). The side panel shows every correction and why it was made. Click "Replace on page" to put the corrected text back where you selected it. You can also type or paste text into the panel.
Where does it work?
In ordinary text fields, comment boxes, forms and web mail such as Gmail. Google Docs draws its text itself, so a selection there does not reach the extension: copy the text, click "Paste and check" in the panel, then paste the result back.
Is my text stored?
Text is sent to our server only when you ask for a check, and is processed by OpenAI under terms that exclude training on it. We keep it only as your history when you are signed in, for up to 90 days, and you can delete that history at any time. The privacy policy has the details.
The button inside text fields does not appear
It is off by default. Turn on "Check in text fields on websites" in the panel's Account tab. It does not appear in password, e-mail or search fields, in Google Docs, or on sites where you chose "Don't show on this site"; the same settings can show it everywhere again.
How do I sign in?
Click "Sign in" in the panel. A page on this site opens: sign in with your e-mail address or Google account and confirm the request. The extension signs in by itself within a few seconds.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel at any time on your account page under "Manage subscription"; Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Within 14 days of your first purchase you can ask for a full refund, as the refund policy explains.
How do I change the keyboard shortcut?
Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts in Chrome, or use "Change" next to the shortcut in the panel's Account tab.
How do I delete my account?
On the account page, "Delete account" removes your account, history and usage records, signs out every device and cancels an active subscription immediately.

Write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. If something does not work, tell us the address of the site, what you did and what happened, and we will look into it. Account and billing questions are quickest from the e-mail address you signed in with.
